BritBites is my student digital marketing portfolio project created to practise SEO, content marketing, AI tools, analytics, and local search strategy using a London food discovery concept.
The purpose of this project is to understand how a website can help visitors and local people discover traditional British food experiences across London. Through this project, I am learning how to build a WordPress website, optimise pages for search engines, create useful content, track website performance, and improve online visibility.
This project is not only about creating a website. It is also a practical learning space where I can apply digital marketing skills such as keyword research, on-page SEO, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, Google Analytics 4, content planning, and campaign reporting.
The main idea behind BritBites is to explore how local food-related websites can support restaurants, cafés, pubs, and food businesses by making them easier to discover online. The project focuses on topics such as traditional British food in London, restaurant discovery, local SEO, visitor search behaviour, and digital marketing strategy.
As part of this project, I will create blog posts, optimise web pages, test SEO techniques, study search performance, and prepare digital marketing reports. This will help me build practical experience and create a portfolio that I can show to employers, professors, and future clients.
The key skills I am practising through this project include:
Search engine optimisation
Keyword research
Content marketing
Google Search Console
Bing Webmaster Tools
Google Analytics 4
AI-assisted content planning
Local SEO strategy
Website performance tracking
Digital marketing reporting
This project will continue to improve over time as I publish more content, analyse performance data, and apply new digital marketing techniques.

Why I Created BritBites
Purpose behind BritBites
BritBites was created to safeguard London’s heritage foods and authentic culinary traditions, from a classic British breakfast to meals enjoyed throughout the day. The aim is to showcase every dish for lunch, dinner, and beyond. So that visitors can rely on BritBites as their go-to source for genuine London dining experiences. By highlighting local eateries, the site helps keep spending within the city, supporting London’s food scene and its people.
